Famous WWE Superstars Then and Now


There have been many big wrestling companies in the back 30 years or so, but known have been as popular or groundbreaking as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE for short) formerly known as the World Wrestling Federation. They have been smashing ratings since 1997 and have even bought their competition. Aside from being the lone giant in the world of Professional Wrestling, the WWE has brought to light a great number of stars from the likes of The Rock, Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Today we’re going to take you on a trip down memory lane and tell you where all your old favorite superstars are today.

The Rock – Then

The Rock first debuted at the 1996 Survivor Series and was almost immediately hated by the fans. Although two years later the rookie would shock the world and become the youngest WWE World Champion to ever grace a wrestling ring. He would go on to headline Wrestlemania (the sport’s biggest pay-per-view event) three years in a row between 1999 and 2001. By the end of the 1990’s he was perhaps the most popular wrestler ever, only topped by Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
